NHS England is seeking feedback on the GP Patient Survey (GPPS). The GPPS is a large-scale England-wide survey, which provides practice-level data about patients’ experiences of their GP practices. This data can then be compared across organisations and over time, and in turn can be used to help aid with decision making on local health services.
Following the GP Forward View, which outlines NHS England’s vision for primary care, GP services are transforming to meet present-day demand. These changes will affect how patients and the public experience their local services, so NHS England is reviewing the questions in the GPPS to ensure that the right questions are being asked in the right way, and that the survey remains relevant.
Anyone is able to help by completing a feedback form on possible changes to the questionnaire.
