Interactive summary cards to use with patients

The World Health Organization has produced summaries of information about the six mental health disorders most common in primary care.

These summary cards are designed to be used interactively in the consultation, to help the practitioner explain key features of the disorder to the patient and enter into discussion about a possible management plan. The first one (see below) deals with alcohol problems.

The full guideline can be downloaded in PDF format from the Royal Society of Medicine's website at www.rsm.ac.uk/pub/bkwho.htm
